After 4 years of being full-time Rver’s we have started a new adventure by purchasing a piece of land in Florida. We are really excited about this new adventure because we now again have a more permanent address like most folks.

A railroad track runs in front of it, so we literally “Live on the other side of the tracks”. I am not sure if it’s the wrong side but it’s the greener side. We have been here for 3 month now and we still run outside to wave at the train. I’m not sure if they think we are looney but they wave back anyhow.

Richard’s “toy”, a John Deere Lawn Tractor, which he claims is for mowing and stuff, clearly has a different purpose as you can see in the photo. We have a new barn roof thanks to a very helpful friend and financial gifts from some of our kids and we are good to go. The property is still not all cleared but it is livable and we can go at our own pace to get it ready for a dwelling.

George (The Plastic Chicken) seems very happy here and has a good day when one of the neighbor dogs doesn’t try to pee on him. The hubby won’t let me get a real chicken so it’s the best I could do. We have a co-op dog that arrives daily and goes home at dusk. What a deal! She’s a nice dog but lately we have noticed that her momma, sisters and brothers have been accompanying her. That’s what we get for breaking out the doggie biscuits. I think dogs do communicate and I think she is saying, “Come on guys, the dumb asses over there are giving out free samples".

……Sigh…..

Since moving to Taylor county we have found it very difficult to find businesses that have good customer service, reasonable prices or even return phone calls.
